If you saw last night’s pitiful game on Monday Night Football you too would think Mike Vick is the MVP of the league. He can do anything on the field, make any type of throw, and escape pressure with absolute ease. Safety Laron Landry at some points was spying Vick and Vick could still pick up five to six yards with ease. Maybe his best throw of the night was down the sideline to Jeremy Maclin, avoiding the rush and showing perfect mechanics delivering the ball to Maclin for a touchdown.
Maybe the most impressive stat for Mike Vick is the fact he doesn’t turn the ball over. He has zero interceptions and has lost zero fumbles all year. Both are surprising stats for any quarterback, but the amount that Vick scrambles and his poor ball security I’m shocked he hasn’t lost at least one fumble. His pocket presence is so great he knows when the rush is coming and ducks out of pressure with ease picking up yardage.
I’m glad the NFL has given Vick a second chance, he paid his debt to society and he’s now absolutely killing every team he plays in the league. If he continues to play like he has been he should emerge as the favorite for NFL most valuable player.
