After watching both NBA games last night, the Denver–LA Clippers game was the highlight even though the bulls-celtics game went into overtime. There’s something about the Nuggets playing at home that fires up Carmelo Anthony and the rest of his team. JR Smith had one of the more spectacular dunks of the week with a reverse one hand slam, and Carmelo Anthony seemed virtually unstoppable in the fourth quarter, so much that he just seemed to be laughing at his efforts late in the 4th with the nuggets up ten.
Even though Melo was on fire, one player stood out probably the most and that player was Blake Griffin. The man can absolutely play basketball and he is the definition of a true power forward. He can post up and has more post up moves than Dwight Howard, and can jump out of the gym. His decision making on the break is also something I have never seen before by a rookie and he may be more entertaining to watch than Lebron James when he was a rookie. I hope ESPN and TNT decide to show more clippers game this season because Blake Griffin might be the most fun player to watch.
